This year marks my tenth year of teaching and my fifth year at St Gabriel’s C of E Primary School.

Teaching is a passion of mine and I pride myself on reflecting this through my classroom culture and the positive relationships I develop with the children in my class. I aim to foster a life-long love of learning for the children and the final year of primary school is such an exciting time and I am thrilled to be joining Cypress Class as they take part in all that it entails (SATs, a residential and production to say the least). I love watching the children grow and become independent and reflective learners ready to take on the wider world as they transition on to secondary school as well-rounded individuals who are able to demonstrate all the values they have developed during their time with us. I look forward to watching Cypress Class become exceptional role models for other children in the school and flourish as they continue making a valuable contribution to the wider school community.

Outside of teaching, I have a young daughter and I love every opportunity to spend time with her, as a family. I cannot wait to pass on my passion for all things Disney to her and hope she enjoys it as much as I do.

As Roald Dahl said “Somewhere inside of us, is the power to change the world.” I hope that when children leave my classroom they feel empowered to make a difference, they feel confident to be the best versions of themselves and they feel and know how important they truly are.
